Children, Young People
and Families
Due to the current health situation with Coronavirus our normal pattern of services, including midweek meetings and events have been suspended.
Please refer to the note on our Welcome Page that we shall endeavour to keep up-to-date.
At St James we hope everyone will feel welcome, enjoy worshipping with us and find our church family to be ‘a place to belong.’ In the area of Children, Young People and Families our vision is that St James would be:
- a place to belong… for all ages
- a place to belong… just as you are
- a place to belong… and grow
We offer a range of activities which aim to be welcoming, fun, appropriate and relevant for the age group, and through this, facilitate growth in relationships and understanding. All our volunteers are committed to children, young people, families and God. They all strive to provide the best care and activities, and all hold a clear DBS check.
Little Treasures - a fortnighty informal group for pre-school children (babies and toddlers) and their parents, grandparents or carers
Junior Church - fun and teaching for children aged 3+
Uniformed Organisations - A number of Guiding and Scouting groups for children aged 5 to 16
For details of our children's and family events and activities please contact the Parish Office.
